The stylized hand hole is cut with beveled edges. The extension stabilizer (rubber grommet) is used to keep the extension stable. It fits in the outside hand hole. You should use a stabilizer if your extension is 4 inches or longer. They are easy to install – just slide the stabilizer over the extension and into the hand hole. How do you know which stabilizers you need? Is your wheel aluminum or steel? If it is aluminum, there are three manufacturers: Alcoa, Accuride and a Taiwan wheel used on the Ford chassis. What size is your wheel (written on the tire)? What size is the hand-hole in your wheel? Will your extension come directly out the middle or off-center?
