A dual voltage shaver socket with transformer, appropriate for use with either 115v or 230v 2 pin shavers/toothbrushes on a Plaza style plate made from solid brass with a Polished Brass Unlacquered finish.The Plaza plate is stylish and unique and has echoes of the Art Deco era with the sides of the plate having a stepped symmetrical edge.Unlacquered polished brass is a living finish that will mellow over time. To start with it is bright and shiny, but it will age and develop a rich dark patina that has lighter areas where it is handled. It can be left to age like this indefinitely or can be polished with a metal polish to restore to bright and shiny as new. Leaving the plates to age naturally is a popular choice in period and traditional settings as the characterfulness can be more in keeping.
