Georgian Switched Socket 2 Gang USB Antique Brass Lacquered

A 2 gang switched socket with twin USB chargers on a Georgian style plate made from solid brass with an Antique Brass Lacquered finish.The Georgian style of plate is characterized by the rope detailing around the edge that is associated with this particular period and architectural style. This design can also be found in other architectural items from the period such as door furniture and lighting. It is a quality, heavy cast plate that also has a practical advantage of being slightly larger than some other plate styles (whilst still fitting to a standard back box) so can be useful to cover up messy plastering around the plate edge.The Antique Brass finish is lacquered with lighter and darker antique tones. It should not be polished with abrasive polishes/cleaners as this will break down the lacquer. Clean with a soft damp cloth followed by an application of a quality wax polish to prolong the life of the lacquer.This high quality double socket is made in the UK and each plug socket is rated at 13A and the USB charge sockets are rated at 3.1A total. When one USB device is plugged in the whole 3.1A is available for rapid charging and when both USB devices are in use, the output is automatically proportioned according to demand.A particular feature of our plug sockets is that the plate can be taken off easily (leaving the connections safely in place) for example for redecoration purposes or for cleaning of unlacquered plates so that you don't risk getting polish on your wall.We recommend using a minimum 35mm depth backbox with this product to give a comfortable amount of space for the grid (the switch or socket mechanism) and wiring behind the plate.Dimensions:Height: 96mm; Width: 157mm
