A 1 gang switched socket on an Edwardian style plate made from solid brass with a Satin Chrome finish.The Edwardian plate is stylish and elegant being characterized by the fabulous double stepped edge. It is a quality, heavy cast plate that also has a practical advantage of being slightly larger than some other plate styles (whilst still fitting to a standard back box) so can be useful to cover up messy plastering around the plate edge.Satin chrome is a less reflective surface than polished chrome as the brass is abraded prior to the plating process. It can be cleaned occasionally with a soft cloth with wax polish.This high quality socket is made in the UK.A particular feature of our plug sockets is that the plate can be taken off easily (leaving the connections safely in place) for example for redecoration purposes or for cleaning of unlacquered plates so that you don't risk getting polish on your wall.We recommend using a minimum 35mm depth backbox with this product to give a comfortable amount of space for the grid (the switch or socket mechanism) and wiring behind the plate.Dimensions:Height: 96mm; Width: 96mm
