A solid brass Mode style plate with a Polished Brass Unlacquered finish with an aperture of 50 x 50mm. This product includes the plate and a grid which allows it to be used with modular (also known as Euro) electrical components - either one 50mm x 50mm component or two 50mm x 25mm components which are available to purchase separately. Using modular components allows you flexibility to meet your exact needs - for example you could have TV and Data modules on the same plate.The Mode plate has a single stepped edge design that would look fabulous in a wide variety of settings from traditional and period right through to contemporary.Unlacquered polished brass is a living finish that will mellow over time. To start with it is bright and shiny, but it will age and develop a rich dark patina that has lighter areas where it is handled. It can be left to age like this indefinitely or can be polished with a metal polish to restore to bright and shiny as new. Leaving the plates to age naturally is a popular choice in period and traditional settings as the characterfulness can be more in keeping.
