We were very excited to discover coloured dome switches in a rare vintage 1949 G.E.C. catalogue. We thought how unusual and pretty they were, so we have reproduced them on our solid brass domes and complemented with a polished chrome dolly switch. It is supplied complete with an authentic unfinished square oak pattress, enabling you to wax, stain or paint to complement the decor in your home. The oak is pre-drilled and channelled for fixing to a standard single (UK) galvanized wall box and two extra holes allowing for further fixings to the wall if required. The high quality dolly switch mechanism is made in the UK and is rated at 20A. It is available as 2 Way, Intermediate or Retractive. A 2 way switch is suitable for operating lights that only require switching from up to 2 places, the intermediate switch would be required if the light is to be operated from more than 2 places (for example in hallways and on landings). A retractive switch is used for momentary contact to operate items such as electric blinds and roof lights etc. Please note: We would advise viewing this product on a number of different devices to get a feel for the colour.
