A single dimmer switch on a Georgian style plate made from solid brass with a Dark Antique Relief finish.The Georgian style of plate is characterized by the rope detailing around the edge that is associated with this particular period and architectural style. This design can also be found in other architectural items from the period such as door furniture and lighting. It is a quality, heavy cast plate that also has a practical advantage of being slightly larger than some other plate styles (whilst still fitting to a standard back box) so can be useful to cover up messy plastering around the plate edge.The dark antique finish is produced by hand in our workshop, meaning each item is truly unique. It is a dark finish with areas that are relieved as if natural ageing has taken place. It is an unlacquered living finish so it will continue to age and change over time.The high quality switch is made in the UK.
