Wembley Ware was manufactured at its Subiaco factory in Western Australia from 1946 to 1961 and was known for its ornate designs and lustrous glazes, reflecting a post WWII optimism and a desire for decorative household items that were uniquely Australian. The factory closed in 2006, although the parent company Australian Fine China, continued operations in other locations within Australia.
