Edwardian Dolly Switch 2 Gang Antique Brass Lacquered

Two dolly switches on an Edwardian style plate made from solid brass with an Antique Brass Lacquered finish.The Edwardian plate is stylish and elegant being characterized by the fabulous double stepped edge. It is a quality, heavy cast plate that also has a practical advantage of being slightly larger than some other plate styles (whilst still fitting to a standard back box) so can be useful to cover up messy plastering around the plate edge.The Antique Brass finish is lacquered with lighter and darker antique tones. It should not be polished with abrasive polishes/cleaners as this will break down the lacquer. Clean with a soft damp cloth followed by an application of a quality wax polish to prolong the life of the lacquer.The high quality dolly switch mechanisms are made in the UK by Wandsworth and rated at 20 Amps. They are available as 2 Way or Intermediate. A 2 way switch is suitable for lights that only require switching from up to 2 places, whereas the intermediate switch would be required if the light is to be operated from more than 2 places (for example in hallways and on landings). A particular feature of our dolly switches is that the plate can be taken off easily (leaving the connections safely in place) for example for redecoration purposes or for cleaning of unlacquered plates so that you don't risk getting polish on your wall.We highly recommend using a minimum 35mm backbox with this product to give a comfortable amount of space for the grid (the switch or socket mechanism) and wiring behind the plate.Dimensions:Height: 96mm; Width: 96mm
